HMA-S Expanded Beam Fiber Optic Connector | 1–8 Channel

Product Description

The HHDFiber HMA-S Series is a large-format hermaphroditic expanded-beam connector designed for connecting tactical-network nodes through fibre-optic cables.

Its rugged construction and expanded-beam optical technology support reliable signal transmission in demanding field environments where high performance and operational reliability are critical. The precision optical-alignment system provides resistance to water, mud, dust, oil and other contaminants.

In addition to military optical networks, the HMA-S Series is suitable for heavy-industry connections, petrochemical applications, broadcasting and temporary optical links.

The hermaphroditic coupling design eliminates the need for adaptors or separate male and female mating halves. It supports rapid field deployment and low-loss single-mode or multimode daisy-chained links. Typical planforms range from simplex to four fibres, while available configurations support 1 to 8 fibre channels.

The field-repairable design is especially suitable for harsh environments where low maintenance requirements, straightforward cleaning and rapid repair are important.
